How many therapy sessions do I/we need to resolve our challenges?

Each individuals’ and couples’ challenges and rate of change and development is different. Some may need only a minimum of 5 sessions whereas some could need between 15-20 sessions.

How often do I / we need to meet the therapist?

I encourage clients to meet me on a weekly basis for a minimum of 1 month for the most effective therapy results. Once they feel more confident that they have the necessary tools and skills to manage their challenges, clients will transition to bi-weekly or even monthly sessions.

Some long-term clients prefer just to have therapy on a maintenance basis – once every quarter or as and when required.

I can’t really speak English, will that be an issue?

English is the primary language in the therapy session. I do understand Bahasa Indonesia however I prefer speaking in English during sessions.

What does therapy look like?

The first few sessions or therapy involves understanding the nature of your challenges, identifying the therapy goals, building trust, and co-creating a blueprint to resolve the challenges faced.

The proceeding sessions will include learning skills and concepts, reflecting on insights and understanding gained, and agreeing on what you would like to work on, in between sessions. Every 5 sessions, I will check in with you to see if we are meeting the therapy outcomes discussed. I welcome feedback as therapy is a collaborative process.

Who and what issues do you mainly work with?

I work only with adults – individuals and couples who struggle with anxiety, low mood, overthinking, family /friends/ romantic relationship challenges, communication issues, conflict resolution, and those seeking to define their purpose and values to live more meaningful lives.
If, however, you are feeling suicidal or have suicidal thoughts, I suggest contacting the suicide hotline in your respective countries. Please know that professionals are willing to support you through this difficult time.

What makes you different from other therapists?

It lies in my understanding of the high demands of the corporate world which I gained prior to becoming a therapist. I spent almost 20 years working in management consulting firms, regional and international businesses and non-profit organization across various countries.

Another differentiating factor is my method of therapy. My approach to therapy is structured, outcome oriented and based on the latest scientific development in psychotherapy.

Can I be reimbursed by my insurance or my company’s medical coverage provider?

An invoice for your payment can be issued which can be used for reimbursement purposes.

Do you accept overseas payment transactions?

Yes, I accept USD and SGD currencies.

How is my privacy and security protected?

Each client signs an informed consent form with me which ensures clients privacy and data are protected.

What type of therapy do you practice?

I integrate various therapy modalities and theories, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), Polyvagal Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, I take holistic approach, considering the body, mind, and heart when conducting client assessment.
